Your Vision
Your Voice
When the new council begins its term, they will be inheriting the previous councils’ fourth year budget, with its Vision and Strategic Plans that were implemented for 2023-2027.
Strategy Corp. was hired and assisted by holding staff meetings with the Executive Management Team, interviews were conducted with individual Councillors and Executive Management, as well as workshops being conducted. There is no documentation of engagement with constituents pertaining to the Vision and Strategic Plans from the current council.
The budget is based on the Vision with its Strategic Plans. The next Council will be going through the process of creating a vision with strategic plans for the next four-year budget for 2028-2031. To be clear the next four year budget will incorporate key aspects of the previous four year plan. Specifically Key Master Plans.
Your input is invaluable and should be incorporated in the process of deliberations and the formation of the vision with its strategic plans and goals.
Council can implement committee's at is discretion either advisory or authoritative. Public Community involvement and buy-in is a by-product of committees. Tax dollars can be saved through this process.

Communication
Ongoing communication between council and the general public is paramount.
I will advocate for Town Hall Meetings within each ward to give our constituents a voice. One on one engagement and interaction and allow for Q&A. Our number one asset in our communities, are its PEOPLE!
Your Community
Strategic Plans & Goals
Council Members cannot effectively represent you the constituents if they do not have the proper tools, information and training.
I would advocate for the mayor or a councillor to hold training sessions along with administrations input, to make sure council has all the tools, information and support it needs to effectively represent their constituents.
Orientation & Training
Growth & Jobs
I would be an advocate for the Municipality to capitalize on our number one economic driver which is Agriculture. A sure win to bring growth and jobs.
Master Plans
Certain Key Master Plans need to be addressed, prioritized and implemented. I will advocate for continued public input with Town Hall Meetings for Q&A before council vote.

Housing
Housing is a Provincial Priority which the Province gave Strong Mayoral Powers to cities and Municipalities of which we are one.
-
Building 1.5 million new homes by December 31, 2031
-
Constructing and maintaining infrastructure to support housing
-
Transit : Roads : Utilities : Servicing
-
Purchasing Schools and having land shovel ready has been a priority with council to be in compliance with the provinces mandate. The different types of housing and where they should be located has been a point of contention. I will be an advocate for your concerns pertaining to such and vote accordingly.
